a life in motion, sort of
i feel like i'm stuck in quicksand. no not quicksand, more like molasses.
i'm not sinking, i'm just stagnant. still, same, sameness.
this new year is not going at all how i planned.
at least now i've got control of the reigns and can easily turn this sucker around.
anyway, here are some things(inspiring):
Tom Wolfe & Tom Robbins having tea in my dream last night.
My mom visited melissa scaduto in the hospital last night, and gave that poor girl some old world love and hope.
Near Death experiences
Crystal birth
'Gone Tomorrow' a book i just ordered about the handling of trash in america (i've been thinking about rubbish ever since hearing that the City plans to reopen FreshKills landfill as a park.)
Japan
the fantasy of driving across country, windows rolled down, wind in my hair
dusting off the ole sewing machine
spring + productivity
revenge
acquiring a new point and shoot
redemption
etc etc

this explains it all. i'm doomed to be a city dwelling technophile.
2011 off with a bang

or should i say off with a pop and a fizzle.
i spent almost all of january 1st in bed or reclining in the living room! hooray!
in spite of my sluggish start, i have plans to make this year very productive for me.
i'm not going to promise to do anything i know i won't deliver on, so i'm going to be purposefully vague. this new year i will try to bring more clarity and maturity to my life. that is veiled for something very simple, but something i can't put on the internet!
also in 2011 i want to try to be more active, i.e. get my fat ass off the couch more.
maybe i will finally make it up to the Clositers this year? maybe no more wasted weekends this year? maybe i will finally find a way to keep myself occupied between the hours of 7pm-10pm.
despite popular belief i actually have things i'd like to do to "better myself".
let's see if i actually follow through.
